| A better world is possible !
We
must continue, now more than ever
to
be economically and politically active.
Who Are We ?
We are a coalition of people that wish to make the world a better place
for ourselves, our children and your children. We are liberals, moderates and
yes, some conservatives that aspire to something better for our
world and generations yet to come. We do not solicit donations.
We are an independent community of people
that simply want our legacy to be a better
world for future generations
What do you mean, 100 Year March ?
Patience! I don't expect to be able to complete the march, or more appropriately,
journey. My wish is that future generations of all of ours will complete
it and continue the journey on our behalf. In order to affect the fundamental
changes that are necessary for our society, and sustain those changes, it will
take time and many elections here in America. Despite the fact that we are a
"we want it now" culture, we must have patience, be determined through setbacks
and be diligent.

 Sadly,
people forget that
the tragedy of 9/11 was a terrorist act perpetrated against the
world. It was a horrific affront to peace loving people, regardless
of nationality, race, gender, beliefs or orientation. 9/11
has now been used and politicized by the Bush administration to
distract us from a tenuous economy, the loss of civil liberties,
and a foreign policy that is distancing America from most of its
traditional allies. The Bush administration has also used 9/11 in
a shameful way to quell thoughtful discussion by labeling anyone
that disagrees with the administration as 'unpatriotic'.

An
Apology to the World
Our vision for America is based upon pillars of freedom, opportunity, equality and
democracy. Sadly, there was a quiet revolution in our country in the year 2000. Our popular vote
president-elect was replaced by the present administration, and the American
people reacted with unparalleled apathy . Now, we are on
the brink of inflicting great pain and suffering on the people of other sovereign
countries. Many Americans
like us our deeply sorry and embarrassed by this administration, and they clearly
do not represent us. Our next election cannot happen soon enough, and
we pray that it is a fair election in which every citizen's vote is counted,
and people are not precluded from voting by 'irregularities', particularly in
the State of Florida. A simple apology cannot counterbalance the devastating
impact of war, the loss of life, security and pursuit of happiness by other
sovereign people (concepts the vision of our country holds dear ... for ourselves,
but apparently not for others). Nevertheless, it must be said, we are not all
barbarians that choose to ignore international law, global environmental protection
and seek to protect and grow multinational corporate profits by inflicting great
suffering upon others. Our prayer to the universe is for a lasting peace on
earth.
